The Educational Hotline is designed to educate and up-date the local community about Liberty County Public Schools. The show started in 2010 and is hosted by Mr. Marcus Scott, a former student and employee of Liberty County School System. He is currently a principal at Myers Middle School in Savannah Chatham County Public School System. Mr. Scott is also the President/Founder of Scott’s All*Stars, a program that provides academic assistance, requires community services, teaches basketball skills and drug prevention, and mentors young males. He is also a school board member for Liberty County School System representing District 2.
The Educational Hotline discusses such topics as board policies, code of conduct, student attendance, staff roles and responsibilities and other important topics concerning our school system.
The show provides factual and documented information to the public regarding important topics that concern the local school district. Special expert guests will be invited to assist in certain show discussions.
The Educational Hotline attempts to work in conjunction with the Liberty County School district to help promote positive activity in the public school system, but our main goal is to provide accurate information to assist parents and community members to hold the school system accountable and assist in helping increase student achievement. Each week a Liberty County Schools will have the opportunity to highlight any positive information, activities, or events going on at their school.
The show serves as a voice of the community by accepting live call-ins during the show for questions and concerns that relate to our school system. All major questions and concerns will be forward to the Liberty County Board Members and Superintendent of Schools or his designee for action.
It is my sincere prayer that this show continue to help inform and educate our community regarding all aspects of the Liberty County Public School System.
